Feroke: The sub-post office at Cheruvannur has ceased operations from Friday onwards. All services previously offered at the office, including savings and RD accounts, have now been transferred to the Kolathara post office.

The Postal Department has issued a notice at the site informing the public of the change.

As part of a broader policy, all sub-post offices located within a 2-kilometre radius of a main post office and lacking postal distribution services are being closed down.

The Cheruvannur sub-post office, which was established in its own building near Cheruvannur Karuna Hospital over forty years ago, has now been shut. With its closure, residents of Cheruvannur and surrounding areas will have to visit Feroke or Kolathara for postal services.
