At Manorama Hortus, Malayalam poetry takes centre stage as some of the language’s most cherished voices come together. From the overflowing lyricism of earlier decades to the shifting sensibilities of the post-truth era, the evolution of modern poetry will be explored in a series of sessions from November 27 to 30 at Kochi’s Subhash Park.

A key highlight will be a conversation between Hindi poet Ashok Vajpeyi and Kerala Sahitya Akademi chairman K Satchidanandan on how poetry interacts with other art forms. The festival will also feature presentations by international poets.

Among the Malayalam poets participating are K G S, Rafeeq Ahammed, Veerankutty, Kalpatta Narayanan, S Joseph, Sukumaran Chaligatha, P P Ramachandran, V M Girija, Anitha Thampi, K R Tony, E Sandhya, P N Gopikrishnan, S Kalesh, K Rajagopal, P M Govindanuṇṇi, and Syam Sudhakar.
