Kadakkal: Guinness World Records are usually the triumphs of seasoned achievers. And when three children aged just nine, 11 and 12 achieve this together, the moment becomes truly extraordinary. Kadakkal witnessed one such rare milestone when a trio of young memory champions shattered existing world records in three different categories.
The children , nine-year-old Ashwin, twelve-year-old Alphi Basil and eleven-year-old Yami Anit Surya , achieved the remarkable feat at a memory test held at the Gago Convention Centre, Kadakkal. All three are trained by memory expert and Guinness World Record holder Shanti Sathyan Anit Surya.
For Yami, who already holds a world record in memory power, this performance fetched her a second title.
Ashwin was tasked with identifying images of all American Presidents within 30 seconds. He set a new record by recognising 45 Presidents, surpassing the previous record of 40.
His brother Alphi broke another Guinness record by identifying 74 constellations within one minute, far exceeding the existing benchmark of 43.
Yami secured her second world record by correctly recalling the sequence of random digits in Euler’s number (e) in just one minute.
For Yami, daughter of memory trainer Shanti Sathyan and counsellor Anit Surya, breaking world records has almost become a passion. Alphi and Ashwin, children of Eldhose and Bincy from Ernakulam, have now joined her in this inspiring journey of extraordinary memory feats.
