Muvattupuzha: Even in the midst of an intense election campaign, KS Dinesh, the LDF candidate from Paipra Panchayat, is taking time to enjoy the fruits of his labour- quite literally- by harvesting a bumper yam crop from his farm.

Dinesh, a farmer contesting from Ward 23 of Paipra Panchayat, cultivated yam on one acre of land. Despite the hectic pace of campaigning, he continued to tend to the crop he had planted well before the election season began. Along with his friend Jayaraj  Thottupuram, a recipient of the Farmer Award, Dinesh harvested yam alongside plantains on a relative’s land in Thrikkalathoor.

Thanks to the favourable climate, the crop yielded a bountiful harvest. Dinesh, son of former Panchayat Vice President Sudhan, has followed in his father’s footsteps into mainstream politics. Besides being an active social worker, he is also a dairy farmer.
