Kunnamkulam: Two people were seriously injured after a school bus and a car collided on the Kunnamkulam–Thrissur state highway near Choondal. The accident happened around 9.30 am on Thursday. The bus belonged to LIGHS School, Choondal, and was carrying students at the time of the accident. 

The injured driver and co-passenger of the car were admitted to a private hospital in Kunnamkulam.

According to sources, the car travelling on the opposite lane rammed into the school bus heading towards Kunnamkulam. The car driver is believed to have dozed off, causing the collision.

However, none of the bus passengers sustained significant injuries.
