Kochi: Toxic smog and foul odour from industrial units continued to plague Kochi, with the Eloor and Manjummel areas shrouded in a thick haze that caused severe hardship for residents and commuters.

Many people complained of breathing discomfort as a pungent smog enveloped areas near the Pollution Control Board office. In some stretches, the haze was so dense that motorists reported reduced visibility while driving, heightening the risk on the roads.
