Ottapalam: Prof Suresh K Nair, a native of Adakkaputhur who teaches painting at Banaras Hindu University, has received a special invitation from France to create a mural. He left for the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre, established by the Indian Embassy in Paris, on Friday.

During his 15-day visit, Prof Nair will create a fresco themed on India and its culture. An artist with a global footprint, he has previously held painting exhibitions in nearly 15 countries.

He has also created murals across the world, including in the United States, Portugal, the United Kingdom, the UAE, Switzerland, Japan, Nepal, Bangladesh and China.
