Padinjarathara: Manjura, has become a favourite destination for visitors due to its natural beauty, and the waiting shelter at Manjura's 13th Mile bus stop has now become the favourite spot for tourists.
From here, one can enjoy the natural beauty of the sprawling reservoir of the Banasura Sagar Dam and the surrounding mountains.
Many people come to this place to take selfies and to while away time sitting in the bus waiting shelter. Nonetheless, the spot also poses a major threat to visitors there as lack of safety measures makes the place prone to accidents.
The area has a steep cliff. Since there is no safety fence, a moment's slip could lead to a fall into the deep ravine. In recent days, 3 people, including a child, have been injured after falling. This has also become a major threat to passengers, including women and children, who come to wait for buses.
With people now regularly arriving in crowds, the risk of an accident has doubled. The danger can be eliminated if a protective fence is installed along the roadside, including the area where the bus waiting shelter is located.
