Elephant runs amok at Guruvayur temple; efforts on to bring it under control

Thrissur: An elephant ran amok inside the Guruvayur Sree Krishna Temple on Tuesday, triggering panic among devotees and temple staff.
The elephant involved has been identified as Devaswom-owned tusker Sreedharan. The incident occurred inside the temple premises while the 'vilakk ezhunnallippu' ritual procession was underway.
Efforts are on to bring the elephant under control. No injuries have been reported so far.
