Cherpu: St Antony’s High School, Ammadam, Thrissur, has decided to make this Christmas extra special by gifting new pairs of clothes to their friends. The project called 'Door of Charity' gifts new clothes to financially backward students of the school and their families.
The clothes for the project are donated by the students as well as a few cloth merchants. The teachers say that children had urged their parents to get an additional pair of clothes while buying them new clothes for the festive season.
Any student studying in this school can take a pair of outfit that suits them from the open classroom where they have been neatly kept.
They can also choose clothes for their family members from here. Meanwhile, school manager Fr James Inchodikkaran who inaugurated the Door of Charity said that initiatives like this will inspire children to utilise opportunities to help others.
The project is led by head master CM Joshy, PTA president Franco Francis, vice president Sunil Surya, MPTA president Rincy Juby and teachers Rose Paul, Jincy Joseph, Rosemol and CJ John.
