Delhi woman undergoing kidney treatment in Kochi seeks financial help

A 44-year-old woman who is undergoing treatment for a serious kidney disease at Lakeshore Hospital, Kochi, is seeking support to raise ₹90 lakhs to finance her treatment. The woman, Dimple Chopra Zachariah, is a native of Delhi who was working in Qatar when she was diagnosed with the illness.
Given her critical condition, doctors have advised that both kidneys need to be replaced. Accordingly, the first kidney transplant was performed about two months ago.
While she was expected to make a recovery, her health worsened in the weeks following the surgery. As a result, Dimple has been in the ICU for two months, causing further financial strain. The family has spent around ₹1 crore on her treatments so far.
It remains uncertain whether the second kidney can be transplanted, hence she must remain in the ICU and needs further treatment, which requires a large sum of money. To raise funds for her treatment, her family has started a campaign. Through this, they were able to raise ₹24.31 lakh in four days, but there is a long way to go until the ₹90 lakh is met.
Dimple and her husband Sunil Zachariah have two children, who are currently staying with her in Kochi. She returned to Kochi for her treatment as her health began to deteriorate, and her company denied assistance.
While a donor is willing to give a kidney, the financial arrangements for her treatment and transplant are yet to be made.
