Irikkoor: The Irikkoor Sub-Registrar Office has won the first-ever award for the best Sub-Registrar Office in the district instituted by the State government in connection with Registration Day.
The honour was conferred in appreciation of the office’s excellence in settling under-valuation cases and its efficiency in delivering public services in a timely manner. Through well-organised functioning, the office has been transformed into one where files no longer pile up.
To overcome a long-standing challenge, especially for persons with disabilities visiting the office, road access too has been provided. This facility was arranged by the Registrar Office Janakeeya Samithi (People’s Council), chaired by Sajeev Joseph MLA.
These achievements formed the basis for the award, which was presented by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan at a function held at Azhikkode today.
The Irikkoor Sub Registrar Office, which began functioning on January 5, 1891, now has Ragesh Chathoth as the Sub Registrar. The staff includes Head Clerk M K Rajesh, Senior Clerk K P Premarajan, and clerks Priya, Anu Chandran, Vanaja, Manu Prasad, and Jasmi.
