Idukki: A 38-year-old woman was found dead at her residence in Upputhara on Monday. The deceased is Rajani Subin, a native of Malayakkavil, MC Kavala.

Police said preliminary findings point to murder, and efforts are underway to trace Rajani’s husband, Subin, who is currently absconding.

According to police, the couple had a history of frequent domestic disputes, and Rajani had earlier filed multiple complaints against Subin. Though they had been living separately, they moved back in together about a month ago.

The incident came to light when the couple’s younger son returned home from school and found Rajani lying in a pool of blood. He alerted panchayat ward member Biju Chemblavan, who then informed the authorities.
