Sharjah: A Keralite youth was stabbed to death in Sharjah in the UAE. Twenty-eight-year-old Vishnu Vijayan was found dead at Abu Shagara on Tuesday afternoon.

Vishnu, who hailed from Karunapuram in Idukki, was working at a beauty parlour in Sharjah.

He was stabbed as he tried to intervene in a brawl between two Nigerians at the apartment he was living in, according to the Sharjah Police. A mortally injured Vishnu was pushed down from the apartment by the attackers to make it look like an accident.

Efforts are on to bring his body back to Kerala.
