Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke over the phone on Saturday with Emmanuel Macron, President of the French Republic. During their conversation, the leaders reviewed progress in bilateral cooperation and expressed satisfaction over advancements in diverse areas, including economy, defence, science, technology, and space.

They also reaffirmed their commitment to further deepen the India-France Strategic Partnership, guided by the Horizon 2047 Roadmap, the Indo-Pacific Roadmap, and the Defence Industrial Roadmap.

The two leaders also discussed international developments and “exchanged views on recent efforts towards bringing an end to the conflict in Ukraine.” Modi reiterated “India’s consistent support for the peaceful resolution of the conflict and early restoration of peace and stability.”

Prime Minister Modi extended his gratitude to President Macron “for accepting the invitation to the AI Impact Summit hosted by India in February 2026” and said he looked forward to welcoming him to India. Both sides agreed to remain in regular contact and work jointly to advance global peace and stability.
