Indian captain Virat Kohli believes in the tit-for-tat policy. Kohli mocked his English counterpart Joe Root after running him out with a brilliant piece of fielding on the opening day of the first Test at Edgbaston on Wednesday.

Kohli blew a kiss and mimicked Root's mic-drop celebration after the latter got out on 80. Kohli's gesture was the imitation of Root's celebration after guiding England to a series win the third and final one-dayer at the same venue last month.

Root and Jonny Bairstow looked in complete control when Kohli produced a moment of magic to curtail the fourth-wicket stand which yielded 104 runs. The dismissal triggered a collapse as the hosts slumped from 216/3 to end the day at 285/9.
