Dubai: M S Dhoni was back at the helm of Team India as 'Captain Cool' led the Men in Blue for the 200th time in One-Day International (ODI) cricket during the Asia Cup Super Four game against Afghanistan on Tuesday.

Dhoni, who gave up captaincy in 2017, led India in place of rested skipper Rohit Sharma.

Dhoni became the third player after Aussie Ricky Ponting (230) and Kiwi Stephen Fleming (216) to reach the milestone of 200 ODIs as captain.

The 37-year-old led to India to their second ODI World Cup triumph in 2011. India had won the inaugural ICC World T20 title under the Ranchi stumper's leadership in 2007.

The Men in Blue also emerged champions in the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy under Dhoni.
