World Cup to be telecast in Afghanistan for first time

The ICC World Cup will be beamed live for the first time in Afghanistan by the state broadcaster Radio Television Afghanistan (RTA). The coverage is expected to reach approximately 20 million viewers.
The World Cup would be telecast live in more than 200 territories by 25 broadcast partners with the support of ICC global broadcast partner – Star Sports.
The ICC announced the broadcast and digital distribution plans to provide cricket fans across the world with the widest range of platforms to access the tournament over television, radio and digital platforms, besides in news, in cinemas at fanparks and through other media partners.
The World Cup would also be broadcasted across seven regional language newsfeeds across India.
The World Cup will also be broadcasted on Star Sports (India and the rest of the Indian sub continent), SuperSport (South Africa and Sub Saharan Africa), Sky Sports (United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland), OSN (Middle East and North Africa), Willow TV (USA), Fox Sports Australia and Channel 9 (Australia), Sky TV and Prime (New Zealand), ESPN (Caribbean), Ten Sports and PTV (Pakistan), SLRC (Sri Lanka), Fox Network Group (China and South East Asia), Gazi TV, Maasranga and BTV (Bangladesh), Digicel (Asia Pacific), Yupp TV (Continental Europe and Central Asia) and Radio Television Afghanistan (Afghanistan).
