Kerala lost to Andhra in a Men's U-23 State A Trophy match that required a Super Over in Ranchi on Friday.

SDNV Prasad hit two sixes to win the super-over contest with a ball remaining after Kerala made 11/2. Earlier, the match was tied on 213 runs.

Varun Nayanar's 87 and Govind Dev Pai's 45 off 80 balls had rescued Kerala from a shaky 49/4 in pursuit of Andhra's 213/9. Barring Nikhil M (27) and Abijith Praveen (12), no other Kerala player scored in double digits, while Saketh Ram took four wickets for Andhra.

Earlier, Prasad top-scored with a 45-ball 44 to set a target of 214. Abijith Praveen bagged four wickets for Kerala.
