Bashir goes to surgery after Lord’s success, England bring in Dawson for Manchester Test

Having played a significant part in England's victory over India at Lord's, young off-spinner Shoaib Bashir has been replaced by left-arm spinner Liam Dawson for the fourth Test.
The 21-year-old finished the match with two wickets, one in each innings. The fracture that he sustained while attempting a low catch off his own bowling will require surgery this week.
Bashir's replacement, Dawson, has not played a Test match since July 2017. However, the 35-year-old was part of England's white-ball team until as recent as last month's series against West Indies.
The fourth Test of the five-match series will begin at Manchester on July 23. England lead the series 2-1.
England squad: Ben Stokes (Captain), Jofra Archer, Gus Atkinson, Jacob Bethell, Harry Brook, Brydon Carse, Zak Crawley, Liam Dawson, Ben Duckett, Ollie Pope, Joe Root, Jamie Smith, Josh Tongue, Chris Woakes.
