Reddy ruled out of India-England series; Arshdeep to miss Manchester Test

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Monday said that all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy has been ruled out of the remaining two Test matches of the ongoing India-England series due to a knee injury.
"Nitish will fly back home and the team wishes him a speedy recovery," BCCI said. The selection committee has included Anshul Kamboj in the squad. If he gets a chance, it will mark the youngster's debut for the Indian team.
The cricket board has also announced that left-arm medium pacer Arshdeep Singh will miss the fourth Test in Manchester after injuring his left thumb while bowling during a practice session.
Nitish, who missed the first Test in Leeds, failed to make an impact in the second Test, which India won by 336 runs. He only managed two runs across two innings and went wicketless.
However, in the third Test at Lord's, he took two wickets in the first innings and scored a vital 30 runs. In the second innings, he contributed 13 runs and picked up one wicket.
The fourth Test will begin on July 23 in Manchester. England lead the series 2-1, and India must win the match to keep their hopes of winning the series.
