Pakistan have left out two of their stars, Babar Azam and Mohammed Rizwan, from the squad for the Asia Cup set to begin in the UAE later this month.

The former captains are not part of Pakistan's 17-member squad that was announced on Sunday. Salman Ali Agha has been named the skipper.

The squad comprises pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi and ace batter Fakhar Zaman, while Mohammad Haris is the wicketkeeper.

Pakistan, led by Agha, will play a tri-series against Afghanistan and the UAE in Sharjah from August 29 to September 7.
