Alleppey Ripples suffered their third defeat of the Kerala Cricket League (KCL-2) after a 44-run loss to Calicut Globstars at the Greenfield Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram on Tuesday.

The Ripples were restricted to 128/9 in response to the Globstars' total of 172/8. Akhil Scaria, who top-scored with 45, also bagged 2/13 for the Globstars.

For the Ripples, veteran all-rounder Jalaj Saxena scored 44 and claimed 2/19. The Ripples remain at the bottom of the points table with just one win, while the Globstars have secured their second win in four rounds.

The Globstars will be in action against Sanju Samson's Kochi Blue Tigers, starting 2.30 pm, while Trivandrum Royals and Thrissur Titans will clash in the 6.45 pm match.
