Akhil M S smashed an unbeaten 44 off 12 as defending champions Kollam Sailors defeated Thrissur Titans by three wickets in the Kerala Cricket League (KCL-2) at the Greenfield Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram on Friday.

In a rain-curtailed match that was reduced to 13 overs per innings, the Titans posted 138/4. The Sailors chased it down in 12.1 overs. Captain Sachin Baby made 36 off 18, while Ajinas K and Adithya Vinod claimed 3/34 and 2/11 respectively.

Earlier, Shoun Roger hit a 29-ball 51 and Arjun AK hit an unbeaten 14-ball 44 to power the Titans to 138/4.

The Sailors are fourth in the table of six with three wins, while the Titans remain second on 8 points.
