After hours of uncertainty, Pakistan players left the team hotel for tonight's crucial Asia Cup league match against the UAE in Dubai.

Mohsin Naqvi, chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), confirmed the development, but hasn't yet confirmed if the match will go ahead as scheduled. "We have asked the Pakistan team to depart for the Dubai Cricket Stadium. Further details to follow," Naqvi posted on X.

Earlier, the Pakistan team refused to budge from the hotel even as their opponents arrived at the stadium and went through their warmups. The match was scheduled to begin at 8 pm IST.

It is unclear whether the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) plans to boycott the match, which could potentially eliminate them from the ongoing T20 event in the UAE.

The PCB had lodged a complaint with the International Cricket Council (ICC) demanding the removal of Match Referee Andy Pycroft, accusing him of violating the Code of Conduct during Sunday's India-Pakistan match.

Members of the Indian cricket team refused to shake hands with the Pakistani players after their 7-wicket win. The PCB blamed Pycroft for the embarrassment it caused them. The Zimbabwean Pycroft is the match referee for the Pakistan-UAE match.

Pakistan and the UAE are tied on two points in Group A, with the former holding the second position by virtue of a better net run rate. The winner of the match will join India in the Super 4.
