Pakistan opener Sahibzada Farhan said he doesn't 'care about what people think' after a provocative gun-firing celebration during the recent Asia Cup match against India in Dubai.

Farhan triggered a controversy with his celebration (as shown in the photograph above) after scoring a fifty (58 off 45) in the Super 4s match that India won by six wickets after chasing down Pakistan's 171/5.

"That (celebration) just happened in the moment. I do not do a lot of celebrations after scoring a fifty. But, it suddenly came to my mind to celebrate today. I did that. I don't know how people will take it. I don't care about that," Farhan said in his post-match media interaction.

Diplomatic tensions between India and Pakistan have been high since a terrorist attack in Kashmir's Pahalgam that led to the death of 26 civilians. India has held Pakistan accountable for the act of terrorism and attacked terrorist outfits across the border. A war-like situation followed, leading to the suspension of the Indian Premier League.

The Indian players offered their tributes to the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack after beating Pakistan earlier in the Asia Cup by seven wickets. Indian players refused to shake hands with their Pakistani counterparts in both encounters.
