Asha S marked her return to Kerala cricket with a player-of-the-match performance in a 6-wicket win over Vidarbha in a Senior Women's T20 Trophy match in Chandigarh on Thursday.

Asha scored a 52-ball 61 and held an 110-run partnership with captain Sajana S (57 not out) as Kerala chased down a target of 128 with a ball to spare.

Kerala lost Shani, Najla and Drishya I V with the score reading 7/3, before Asha and Sajana rescued the innings. Earlier, Bharti Fulmali scored 46 to take Vidarbha to 127/4.

Asha had missed almost a year with a knee injury, keeping her out of the WPL. The 34-year-old leg-spinner, who had played for Kerala before representing Puducherry and Railways, made a return to her home state recently.
