Jaiswal’s unbeaten 173 takes India to 318/2 on day one against Windies

Opener Yashasvi Jaiswal scored an unbeaten 173 as India closed at 318/2 on day one of the second Test against West Indies in Delhi.
Jaiswal hit his seventh Test century in style, while Sai Sudharsan missed out on his first after being dismissed by Jomel Warrican for 87.
Left-arm spinner Warrican also removed K L Rahul (38), who was deceived by the change of pace on a short delivery. Rahul was stumped after being beaten by the sharp turn.
Meanwhile, left-hander Jaiswal was in complete control of his innings, and all his 22 boundaries were scored with conviction.
Jaiswal got to his fifty off 82 balls as he made a cautious start. But he made quick runs to reach triple digits, needing just 63 balls to get from 50 to 100. Jaiswal added the next 50 runs off just 79 balls.
Captain Shubman Gill was unbeaten on 20 as India hunt a home series win. India had crushed the Windies by an innings and 140 runs in the first Test in Ahmedabad.
