Sanju Samson declares his readiness to help Team Kerala in its Ranji Trophy campaign

Looks like Sanju Samson is determined to make a memorable return to Kerala's Ranji Trophy squad after missing out on a historic campaign last season that ended in a maiden final.
Sanju had a falling out with the Kerala Cricket Association (KCA) leadership at the start of the last domestic campaign in connection with his participation in a pre-season camp.
That meant Sanju did not feature in the Sachin Baby-led squad, which punched above its weight and almost lifted the famous Ranji Trophy, only to end runners-up to Vidarbha.
Sanju had also been injured during the final stages of the domestic campaign.
Now, as Kerala prepare to begin a fresh campaign under a new captain - Mohammed Azharuddeen - Sanju is back in the squad. He has chosen to be out of the visible leadership group, as guest player Baba Aparajith was named the vice-captain.
That said, Sanju has declared his readiness to help his state side. On Monday, Sanju posted two photos on Instagram stories. One showed him in the nets, playing a drive. The picture was captioned, 'My therapy'. The second photo showed him posing in a Kerala jersey.
Kerala will open the campaign against Maharashtra in Thiruvananthapuram on October 15.
