14-year-old Suryavanshi smashes 95-ball 171 for India in U-19 Asia Cup opener

The incredible Vaibhav Suryavanshi scored yet another powerful century in India's opener in the Under-19 Asia Cup against the UAE in Dubai on Friday.
The 14-year-old from Bihar smashed 171 from 95 balls, clubbing 14 sixes and nine boundaries at a strike rate of 180. He brought up his century in 56 balls.
Building on his innings, India finished at 433 for the loss of six wickets in the allotted 50 overs. Malayali batter Aaron George 69, Vihaan Malhotra 69, Vivant Trivedi 39, Vedanto Tiwari 38, Abhigyan Kundu 32 (n.o.) also sent the UAE players on a leather chase to all sides of the park.
Suryavanshi did not explode instantly as he opened the innings with captain Ayush Mhatre. Suryavanshi got going with a boundary after five dot balls.
Barring a handful of overs, Suryavanshi hit at least a boundary in every over he faced. He hit Ahmed Khudadad for a hat-trick of sixes. His innings ended in the final ball of the 33rd over, bowled by Uddish Suri.
Suryavanshi recently hit his maiden century in the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 tournament. He was 13 when he first represented Bihar in the senior category.
In April, Suryavanshi became the youngest IPL centurion at 14, smashing a 38-ball 101 for Rajasthan Royals against Gujarat Titans.
Meanwhile, faced with the daunting task, the UAE could only make 199 for 7 in 50 overs, handing India a 234-run victory.
