The women's competition as part of the Kesari-S L Shyam Cricket Tournament Season 3 will be held at Stones and Feathers Indoor Cricket Turf at Poonthi Road at Kumarapuram in Thiruvananthapuram on August 7 and 8.

The women's teams of major media organisations will participate in the tournament. The third season will be inaugurated by Thiruvananthapuram district collector Anukumari IAS. Kerala women's team coach and former Indian cricketer Devika Palshikar will be the chief guest. The inaugural will be presided over by KUWJ district president Schiller Stephen.

The preliminary games will be held on August 7. At 7 pm on the day, there will be a celebrity cricket match between the media's women's team and the women's team of the Association of Television Media Artistes (ATMA). The semifinals and finals will be played on August 8. 

The tournament is jointly organised by Kerala Union of Working Journalists and Kesari Memorial Journalists' Trust. The sponsors are G G Hospital, Western International Group and Hamara Choice.
