Colombo: India won the toss and opted to bat against Sri Lanka in the second and final Test at Colombo on Sunday, with spin-bowling all-rounder Saransh Jain making his international debut.

India has already secured the two-match series after a commanding 165-run victory in the opening Test at Galle.

Jain comes into the playing XI in place of left-arm spinner Kuldeep Yadav, who is recovering from a viral infection. The BCCI said Kuldeep has not fully recovered and was therefore unavailable for selection, though he can be used as a concussion substitute if required.

Sri Lanka has also handed Test debuts to two batters, Kamil Mishara and Pasindu Sooriyabandara.

India have retained a strong combination as they look to complete a series sweep. Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul will open the innings, followed by Devdutt Padikkal, captain Shubman Gill and Rishabh Pant.

Ravindra Jadeja, Dhruv Jurel and debutant Jain add depth to the batting and spin department, while Manav Suthar joins the bowling attack alongside pacers Mohammed Siraj and Prasidh Krishna.
