Kochi: Nigerian striker Bartholomew Ogbeche wants to write history in his new Kerala Blasters jersey.

Starting big with French club PSG and going on to play in English, Spanish and Dutch clubs, Ogbeche believes big success awaits him in India playing for the Kerala club.

The 34-year-old is set to be the team’s spearhead after a transfer from Northeast United this season.

“The next few years will be my most memorable. I look forward for my best performance ever, writing my own history here.”

Fans’ hearts break when the team doesn’t win…

Our club has the best fan base in the country. I will work hard for them. When we win their hearts, I’m sure the stadiums will be packed.

About the new coach…

I met Schattorie last year after landing in India. The two of us developed a good bond. He brings out the best in players, spots the hidden talent in youngsters and boosts their confidence.

Who are the best among Indian players?

It’s unfair to name a few since I have seen huge potential in many in these initial days. We have some special players who will be out on the field displaying their talent soon.
