Santosh Trophy: South Zone qualifiers postponed

The South Zone qualifiers of the 74th Santosh Trophy National Football Championship which was to be held in Kochi from October 14 has been postponed.

The All India Football Federation (AIFF) postponed the event due to unavoidable technical constraints, the Kerala Football Association said in a press release.

The new dates will be announced later.

Hosts Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andaman and Nicobar, Puducherry, Telengana and Andhra Pradesh are the teams in the fray.

Six-time former champions Kerala are being coached by Bino George. Bino has coached Gokulam Kerala FC and was also the team's technical director.

Kerala had failed to qualify for the main round last season.
