Kozhikode: Home team Gokulam Kerala have crashed out of the Super Cup after a 1-0 defeat to FC Goa here on Friday.

Captain Iker Guarrotxena scored the winner for Goa in the 90th minute.

Gokulam had lost their Group C opener, 5-1, to ATK Mohun Bagan on Monday. With just one match remaining for them in the group stage, even a win will not be enough to advance.

A failed clearance from defender Hakku allowed Noah Sadaoui to have a shot. Though goalkeeper Shibin Raj saved the effort, Iker netted the rebound.

Goan players celebrated their late winner by paying tribute to Brandon Fernandes' father Joaquim who died the other day.

Brandon had been named FC Goa's captain for the Super Cup, but he had to fly home following the passing of his father.

Gokulam Kerala will play Jamshedpur FC, the fourth team in Group C, on April 18. The same day, ATKMB will take on FC Goa to decide the semifinalists.
