Kochi: Kerala Blasters FC crushed Maharaja's College 8-0 in their first pre-season friendly at the Panampally Nagar ground here on Friday.

K P Rahul, Bidyasagar and Bijoy bagged a brace each while Adrian Luna and Dimitrios Diamantakos fired in a goal apiece.

Blasters lined up in a 4-4-2 system and raced to a 4-0 lead in the first half, in which defender Hormipam Ruivah wore the captain's armband.

The ISL side made a host of changes for the second period. Diamantakos, Luna, Leskovic, Jeakson and fresh signing Pritam Kotal were among those who gained precious minutes after the restart.

Blasters will be competing in the Durand Cup next month.
