Kozhikode: Former champions Gokulam Kerala ended their campaign in I-League 2023-24 with a thumping 6-1 win over TRAU FC here on Friday.
Alex Sanchez put the home side ahead in the 19th minute. Noufal P N struck in quick succession (28th & 34th minutes) to consolidate Gokulam's position. Komron Tursunov found the mark in the 39th minute as the Malabarians went into the half-time break with a commanding 4-0 lead.
Issahak Nuhu Seidu pulled one back by converting from the penalty spot in the 61st minute. However, Matija Babovic made it 5-1 in added time and Nikola Stojanovic completed the tally from the spot.
Gokulam finished with 42 points from 24 games and climbed to third spot.
