Eberechi Eze scored the winner as Crystal Palace stunned Manchester City 1-0 to clinch the FA Cup on Saturday, ending the club's 164-year wait for a major trophy.
Palace that was founded in 1861 went professional in 1905, but had never won a major trophy until tonight. The FA Cup triumph has also earned them a place in next year's Europa League.
Eze volleyed home in the 16th minute, but Palace also have to thank goalkeeper Dean Henderson, who saved a penalty from Omar Marmoush and made a few impressive saves to deny City.
"This is what dreams are made of, for me and this club. Who thought we could do it? We've made history," said Eze at full-time.
While Palace made history, City's loss meant Pep Guardiola's side had gone without a domestic trophy for the first time since 2016-17.
Palace had been unlucky with FA Cup finals, having lost twice, in 1990 and 2016. But Oliver Glasner has transformed the mid-table side into a champion club in his 15 months in charge. He has become the first Austrian coach to win the FA Cup.
