Pep Guardiola is hard to please, especially when another team outscores Manchester City. Guardiola wasn't too pleased even after his team drubbed Al-Ain 6-0 in a Group G match of the FIFA Club World Cup in Atlanta.

Ilkay Gundogan scored twice, while Erling Haaland, Oscar Bobb, Rayan Cherki and Claudio Echeverri netted one each as City comfortably dispatched the Emirati club.

"We pushed and pushed to score another goal to try to finish first, but we missed by one goal," Guardiola said post-match.

The city manager's disappointment was caused by the result of another Group G match played in Philadelphia, where Juventus scored a 4-1 win over Wydad AC.

Juventus had crushed Al-Ain 5-0 in their group opener, and with the latest win, the Italians overtook City in the group standings. City had edged Wydad 2-0. After two rounds, Juventus have nine goals in their kitty, while City's tally has eight.

Though their performances so far have confirmed City a place in the knockout stage, Guardiola is determined to finish on top of the group with victory over Juventus when they clash on June 26. "We know what we need to do against the Italian team to finish as number one," Guardiola said.
