Following in the footsteps of Bala Devi, Manisha Kalyan, and Aditi Chauhan, former Gokulam Kerala forward Harshika Jain (22) will play top-flight football in Europe after she signed her contract with Superliga Femina side CS Atletic Olimpia Gherla of Romania.

"From Kozhikode to Romania. Best wishes to Harshika on her move to the Romanian side, CS Atletic Olimpia Gherla. Go shine on the European stage,” said Gokulam in its social media post.

The Maharashtrian player began her career with St Joseph's College Devagiri in Kozhikode. She represented her college in the Kerala Women’s League in 2023-24 before Gokulam signed her on.

CS Atletic Olimpia Gherla competes in Romania’s elite women’s league, Liga 1 Feminin. As the league is part of UEFA’s structure, Harshika potentially can play in top-flight European club competitions like the UEFA Women’s Champions League.
