Kerala Blasters' former head coach Ivan Vukomanovic has forayed into Malayalam films.

The Serbian, who was a fan favourite of the Blasters' faithful, has appeared in the trailer of 'Karam' directed by Vineeth Sreenivasan.

Aside from an infamous walkout incident, Vukomanovic was mostly a calm presence on the touchline during his three-year spell in Kochi. However, the 2-minute trailer suggests the character played by Vukomanovic isn't going to be quite cheerful.

The stylish football coach appears to be a gangster in the film, at least based on the quick edits. He is shown as punching and kicking a guy, and worse, shooting a lady in the head at point-blank range.

Vukomanovic shared the trailer on his Instagram handle; just in case anyone still had doubts that it was a doppelganger.

Vukomanovic had an eventful time with the Blasters, guiding them to the final in his debut season (2021-22), in which the club reached their third-ever final, before losing to Hyderabad FC in a shootout.

In his second season, though Vukomanovic took the Blasters to the playoffs again, it ended unceremoniously as he initiated a walkout in protest of a controversial Sunil Chhetri free-kick goal in extra time in a knockout match at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru. Vukomanovic would take the Blasters to the playoffs for a third season, but was let go after that.
