Kerala Blasters' fresh signing Koldo Obieta scored a brace in a 3-0 win over Sporting Club Delhi in the Super Cup at the GMC Bambolim Stadium in Goa on Monday.
Striker Obieta, who scored on debut in a 1-0 win over Rajasthan, struck in the 18th and 23rd minutes before Korou Singh added a third in the 34th minute.
David Catala's Blasters will take on Mumbai City FC in their final Group D match at Fatorda on November 6.
Star attacker Noah Sadaoui returned to the starting XI as Catala fielded five foreigners in the starting XI. Juan Rodriguez hit the crossbar with a header from a corner in the opening minutes.
The Blasters piled up the pressure on Delhi and were rewarded when Obieta pounced on a defensive error for the opener.
Young attacker Nihal Sudeesh combined with Obieta for the Spaniard's second, before Adrian Luna assisted Korou with a lofted pass.
The Blasters continued their aggressive game in the second half as well, with Noah and Korou testing the Delhi goalkeeper. Rodriguez and Bikash Yumnam ensured the clean sheet was intact in the second period.
The Blasters gave a debut to Portuguese attacker Tiago Alves, who was signed as a replacement for fan favourite Kwame Peprah. Alves struck the crossbar in stoppage time from a freekick.
