Hosts SB College, Changanacherry won the Fr P C Mathew Memorial South India Inter-collegiate Basketball Tournament. In the final, SB defeated Sree Kerala Varma College,Thrissur, 49-41
SB led the game 24-22 at the halfway stage and kept up the pressure extending their lead by two more points by the end of the third quarter (38-34).
Sharon John and Jinu Devasia were the leading scorers for SB with 17 points each while Joshua Sunil Oommen made 15 points for Kerala Varma.
Jinu Devasia was adjudged the Best Player of the tournament while Joshua claimed the Promising Player award.
