Kerala made history by entering the semifinals of the Senior Men's Handball National Championship for the first time.
Kerala crushed Uttar Pradesh 45-24 in the quarterfinals in Changanassery on Saturday. Earlier today, the hosts knocked out Himachal Pradesh (37-30) in the pre-quarterfinals.
Kerala will take on Services on Sunday to get closer to the title. The Services team defeated Andhra Pradesh 39-20 in their quarterfinals.
Last year's runners-up, Indian Railways, edged Punjab, 4-3, in a shootout to book their spot in the semifinals. Both sides were level on 40 points in regulation time.
