Kerala men suffered a defeat on the third day of the 74th Senior National Basketball Championship at Bhavnagar in Gujarat on Tuesday. It was the second loss in the event for Kerala men after the 41-75 humbling at the hands of Tamil Nadu on the opening day.

Kerala lost 70-82 to Rajasthan, while Karnataka and Punjab posted big wins on the day, defeating Madhya Pradesh (75-51) and Chandigarh (89-47) respectively.

In the women's category, Delhi continued their fine form with a narrow 76-73 win over Madhya Pradesh. Punjab defeated Karnataka, 73-62 in another women's game with Manmeet Kaur top-scoring 25 points and Priyanka Behar adding 23. Kerala women won their opening two games the other day, defeating Uttar Pradesh (68-43) and Chhattisgarh (76-45)

Result: Rajasthan 82 (Ayush Choudhary 19, Piyush Meena 14, Mahaveer 14, Sharad Dadich 10, Jaideep Rathore 10) bt Kerala 70 (Sejin Mathew 20, Vaisak K Manoj 13, Antony Johnson 12)
