Haldwani: Taufeeq N from Kerala won the gold medal in the decathlon at the ongoing National Games, a demanding event featuring 10 disciplines.

This victory marks Kerala’s 11th gold in the competition, which is being held in Uttarakhand. The state now has 39 medals, including 11 gold, 11 silver, and 17 bronze, placing 10th in the overall rankings.

In the long jump event, Sandra Babu won a silver medal, while Kerala’s women’s relay team secured silver in the 4x100 meter race. The men’s relay team finished third in the same event, earning a bronze. T S Manu added a bronze to Kerala’s medal tally in the men’s 400-meter race.
