Malayali-led India crush Maldives, clinch SABA qualifiers

India clinched the South Asian Basketball Association (SABA) women's qualifiers with a thumping win over Maldives in New Delhi.
India posted a powerful 107-32 win over the unranked opposition. India had opened the event with 110-32 win over Nepal.
India, led by Keralite Sreekala R, have qualified for level 2 of the FIBA Women's Asia Cup to be held in China from July 13 to 20.
Darshini Krishnamoorthy led the scoring with 20 points, followed by Sanjana Ramesh with 18 points, while Sreekala and Satya Krishnamurthy scored 10 points each. The Kerala team comprised two other Malayalis, Aneesha Cleetus and Susan Florentina.
