Jacob Joseph of Alappuzha was elected President of the Kerala Basketball Association in Thrissur on Sunday. P C Antony of Thrissur and Shaju D of Kollam were elected secretary and treasurer respectively.

Shihab Neerungal of Ernakulam was elected the senior vice president of KBA, while Joymon P of Thiruvananthapuram, Shaji Jacob Padipurakkal (Kottayam), Dr Raju Davis Perappadan (Thrissur), and Dr Prince K. Mattam (Idukki) will be the vice presidents in the newly elected state unit.

The high-power committee members are P J Sunny (Thrissur), Manohara Kumar (Malappuram), and V C Hasim (Kannur).

"I am very happy to be elected as the President of the Association. Together as a team, we will try to give our players more opportunities, platforms of exposure, and better facilities starting from the grassroots level up to the senior level," said Jacob Joseph.

Meanwhile, this year's senior state championship has been allotted to Kunnamkulam, while the youth championship will take place in Kasaragod, the junior event in Kottayam and the kid's event in Alappuzha.
