Kottayam and Thrissur were crowned champions of the Mohammed Iqbal 1st Under-23 3X3 State Basketball Championship at the Regional Sports Centre in Kochi.

Kottayam won the women's title (21-12), and Thrissur emerged champions in the men's category (21-7), defeating Thiruvananthapuram in both finals.

Ernakulam claimed bronze in the women's category with a 21-19 win over Palakkad. Idukki defeated Pathanamthitta 18-15 for bronze in the men's event.

Ann Mary Zachariah, who competes in the D-League in the United States, defeated a Palakkad team comprising Kerala Police players in overtime.

The men's event had participation from 14 districts, while the women's competition had 13 districts competing in the one-day event.
