Kerala's Sreekala Rani top scored with 30 points as India crushed Kazakhstan 103-77 to finish fifth in the FIBA Women's Asia Cup in Shenzhen, China.

India finished fifth in Division B of the championship. Thailand, which ended India's hopes of advancing to the final, with a 93-76 win in the semifinals, went on to take third place with a narrow 78-73 win over Mongolia.

India dominated their game against Kazakhstan, taking a 26-22 lead at the end of the first quarter, before extending it with a commanding second quarter (32-12). The Kazakhs had a better third quarter (26-21), but India bounced back in the final quarter (24-17) to win.

Two other Malayalis, Aneesha Cleetus and Susan Florentina, contributed to the win.
